# Designbase

> Designbase is the workspace for design, code, and AI. It turns your design and code into a shared ontology for your team and agents: capture patterns, rules, and product decisions once, and give every designer, engineer, and agent the same understanding, so you can build, not translate.

## What Designbase does

- Connect your product in one click: import the components, patterns, tokens, and rules already in your product, and give the agents you already use the right context for every task, without explaining it again.
- Ontology-powered AI agents: give the agents you already use (Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI) structured knowledge of your components, patterns, rules, and decisions.
- Design as a contract: design with real components, states, data, and interactions. Blueprints turn that work into a living contract that keeps people and agents building towards the same intent.
